New years resolution?

Losing weight is the number ONE for everyone. As we all know the gym are full the whole month of January, slows down in February and by March it is a ghost town. Well this is why gym require a contract, and automatic payment. For these reasons I do not join gyms. They are a waste of money that I really do not have.

Well mines are simple, and they have little to nothing to do with weight loss.
Show more compassion towards people.
Stick to my goals
Take baby steps
Take better care of my self
Pay more attention to my appearance. ( if you think you are cute, then heck you are cute,  you are cute then you play the part).
And this is where the big one kicks in.

Lose weight.

I goggled " How to get a bigger butt"?  Funny the first thing that it said was gain weight.  REALLY???? So I guess I will have to lose weight and meet somewhat in the middle. I will have to mix in the " bigger booty" routine in my work out. See what happens!!!!

This is funny, this is the plan. Well it will be a life changing goal. Getting healthy is the main goal.

Well enough about that....

Part of the life change is meditation; I have been doing this for a few weeks. It is not easy but last night I think I hit the nail on the head. I paid attention to my body and breathing; I felt good.

Also I reading a lot of the writings of His Holiness the Dalai Lama. I am not thinking about becoming Buddhist; But a lot of the teachings are a major comfort for me. I am hoping that it will have a calming effect in my life ( lord knows I need it).

This week I am going to buy a scale; So I can keep track of my weight loss. Notice I said " weight loss" and not " weight". I bring myself to post pictures and my weight on here.  Gotta face this head on.

Here is to a Happy new year

Working out

A few days ago I went shopping with my friend Melissa. She was looking for a dress to wear on a cruise later in the month. She has always been obsessed with what I call " chicken necks"  on her arms. You know that floppy skin between your elbows and shoulders  I have told her a million times that she looks fine. But she is crazy about hiding her arms.

Well I got me to thinking there is much more to my weight loss than eating right. Right now I have been doing smaller things like parking in the back of the parking lots, walking up and down stairs  and some walking. But I have made up my mind I need to do something about my chicken neck ( and a few other things).
O.k. I will admit I course I knew this, just been really lazy. But being lazy will keep the weight on.

So I am going to find a plan that will allow me to work my way up to a faster pace. I have yoga balls and my room is large enough where I can do some sit ups. Some where I need to add some cardio. So here is the plan

Monday morning- Start the day with walking get my iPod and walk.
Tuesday - Work with the balls, upper body, and my tummy ( what's left of it)
I think somewhere you should give your body rest, I will have to look this up. But I will still walk, no harm no foul right?
Thursday lower body. I have great legs, going to work them out. I had knee surgery last year and although I done PT, my knee is not that strong. My goal is to walk down the stairs like a regular person.

Lastly I need to buy a scale. And post my weight and picture on here. Bottom line if I do not acknowledge this issue, then how I can  fix it?
